After two and one-half years as a sole proprietor, Ronald M. Fenster was incorporated in the state of New York in 1980.  The initial focus was on providing insurance to the small group medical and personal lines life insurance client on a retail basis.

Additional carriers and products are constantly being added to meet the ever expanding needs of Ron’s clients.

Ron first became appointed as a general agent in 1981 and today represents approximately 25 carriers as either a managing general agent, a supervising general agent, a general agent, an associate general agent, a district agent, an agent, a broker, or as a producer.

The practice has also evolved dramatically!

As a general agent, Ron assumed more of a consulting and managerial role, working with what is now a base of several hundred agents.

These “Producers” wear many hats. They are securities sales reps, property-casualty agents & brokers, financial planners, accountants, CPAs, attorneys, as well as life and health agents.

Ron and his staff often work with the producers from pre-application product and carrier selection and marketing concepts, through the underwriting process, all the way to product approval, policy issue, and post delivery policyholder service.

Over the years, Ron has received awards from numerous carriers for the level and quality of the business submitted, as well as for the service provided to his client base. He has qualified as “Agent of the Year” and has qualified to attend many national and international sales conferences.
